For over 35 years, it successfully concealed its real identity and thrived in me behind the masks of productivity, ambition, positivity, and sometimes, sense of superiority. I was not aware of its very existence until a few months ago when I left my corporate job and became self-employed. That’s when my world suddenly went “quiet”. No more early morning team hurdles. No more late-night calls with Europe HQ. No more back-to-back business travels. No more last-minute data crunches for the VP. Even the water-cooler moaning and gossiping faded out….
